We are delighted to be able to give you the end of Summer  2015 data headlines.

Reception Class children are judged by the ‘Good Level of Development’measure of the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile. In the EYFS Profile, children will be defined as having reached a Good Level of Development at the end of the EYFS if they achieve at least the expected level in the early learning goals in the prime areas of learning (personal, social and emotional development; physical development; and communication and language) and in the specific areas of mathematics and literacy, which the Government believes are crucial for later success.

All areas of learning within the EYFS are important. To reflect this, the Good Level of Development measure is supported by a measure of the average of the cohort’s total point score across all the early learning goals. This captures the attainment of all children across all the early learning goals.

The above table shows that our end of EYFS scores are very high. As well as this information, we can confirm that there are a good proportion of children at ‘exceeding’.

Year 1 phonics screening

This year’s screening results are well above the national percentage with 81% achieving the required 32/40 mark to be considered to be ‘working at’. Many children scored full marks on the test out of 40.

Once again our KS2 results are above the national average for achievement at level 4 in all areas and for combined reading, writing and maths. Judgements at KS2 also measure progress from KS1. The percentage of pupils who make 2 levels of progress is judged. We are especially delighted by our level 5 achievers particularly in the SPAG test.
