HOMEWORK

Homework is an important part of school life. It can take many forms; reading, researching, maths, literacy, drawing etc.

All the children in school have some kind of homework and we encourage parents to support their children with this. We try to ensure that the homework given enhances the work being carried out in school and develops greater independent learning skills in the children.

We do our best to ensure that homework information is clear so that parents and carers are able to understand what the children need to do and when homework should be completed by. Children in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 have a 'Homework diary' where work is written down.

We know that parents are always keen to have ideas about how they can support their children at home so we have provided a few ideas through this site and also hold regular information evenings.

Please use the links to gain a wide variety of information and ideas that will help with homework. There are links to a range of websites that we hope will be useful. There is also information in the 'Curriculum' and 'Information for Parents' areas.

Every term parents will be emailed with their child's curriculum information map and homework timetable.
