Below is a list of activities for the wider curriculum this week. The live sessions will be on zoom, using the link you were sent last week. All the resources you need for the live sessions are below.  Please do not worry if you cannot make the live sessions as you can still access the work using the links below.

Monday: Total Sports PE recorded session
Please have a look at the link below. The coaches at Total sports have created video lessons so you can stay active at home.

Monday: Art Live lesson @ 1.15pm
This week in Art we are going to focus on the work of J.M.Turner and Katsushika Hokusai. We will have a look at some of thier work and discuss how they are similar and different during our live lesson. We will look at how to create a painting or picture using a similar style to J.M.Turner and your activity is to have a go at this at home.

LO: To compare the paint effects of J.M. Turner and Katsushika Hokuasi.

Please do not worry if you cannot join us for the live session. You can have a look through the following PowerPoint, which will give you similar information, and still have a go at the activity. If you do not have paints at home that is fine, see if you can create a similar effect using a different medium.

Tuesday: Science Live lesson @ 1.15pm
We will be continuing with our topic on Rocks. Last week we looked at what fossils are and the fossilisation process. This week we will learn the meaning of the words Palaeontology and Palaeontologist. We will also discuss who Mary Anning and how her discoveries link to our topic.

LO:To understand what a Palaeontologist does and the work of Mary Anning.

If you are unable to join us for the live lesson please have a read through this PowerPoint

Fo todays activity we are going to use reasearch using secondary sources. I would like you to have a go at creating an information poster or double page spread on Mary Anning or Palaeontology. You can use the above powerpoint and the following links to help you with your research.

Some suggested headings may be: Palaeontologist, Types of fossils, Mary Anning, Important findings, Did you know?
But please feel free to choose your own.

Wednesday: JIgsaw/PSHE live lesson @ 1.15pm
LO: I enjoy facing new learning challenges and working out the best ways for me to achieve them.
In this lesson we will be facing a new challenge!  Here is the powerpoint if you are unable to join the live session.

Thursday: Theme live lesson @1.15pm

This weeks Theme focus will be 'How has the role of Fountains Abbey changed over time?'
