 5/6F visited Bradford Industrial Museum

As part of our learning about the Industrial Revolution, 5/6F had a great day at Bradford Industrial Museum. The children loved being able to learn about how people used to live and were especially interested in 'back to back' houses and how these caused issues for those who lived in them whilst also creating a real sense of community.
The children spent time looking at different vehicles and enjoyed having the opportunity to look inside many of them.
In the afternoon, the children enjoyed their workshop learning more about mill life. They had the chance to carry out some drama based activities and also create some fantastic pieces of collaborative writing.
5/6F also learnt about the gruesome accidents that can sometimes happen in the mills and created a freeze frame timeline to demonstrate a real entry from the accident book.
