English and Maths - WC 6th July 2020

03 Jul 2020

Hi Phoenix,

It has been so lovely having the opportunity to spend more time with most of you before you move on to high school and it has been great that we have all been able to be together during our zoom sessions.

I have added some things for you to work on this week for English and maths and am looking forward to seeing what ideas you come up with in your writing.

Remember to be kind to your grown-ups whilst you’re at home and keep smiling!

Take care and stay safe,

Mrs Foster smiley

English
Activity 1

LO: To write an ending for a fairy tale using a fixed mind-set.

Think back to our work on fixed and growth mind-set. I would like you to have a go at re-writing the end of Cinderella as if the characters had a fixed mind-set and believed there was nothing they could do to chance the outcome of the events. I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Activity 2
LO: To think about independence.

As you move on to high school you are going to have to become more independent. Can you have a go at using the attached sheet (you don’t need to print it – just use it for a guide in your purple book)?

Independence
