Wider Curriculum Home Learning WC 8th February

03 Feb 2021

Hi Phoenix,

Below you will find lots of links and activities to help you with your learning this week. The sessions follow the order of the timetable you have - don't forget to check with your parents if the timings are suitable to you (don't worry if they can't be done at that time and you have to do them at a different time or if there is something you cannot get done). Currently, the learning is there for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; I will get the rest of the week's learning onto the page as soon as possible.

On Tuesday it is Safer Internet Day 2021. This year's theme is: An Internet we Trust: exploring reliability in the online world. There is a link below if you would like to find out more. We will spend some time looking at this idea in our 2.45pm Zoom on Tuesday.

I hope you enjoy the activities we have put together for you and that you have fun learning this week.

I am looking forward to seeing you on our Zoom sessions.

Take care and stay safe,

Mrs Foster smiley

This will be our final week of learning about World War Two and we have covered a lot in these few weeks. This week you will be taken through key events from the war, why they happened and the impact they had. Throughout the presentation, I would like you to make notes about the different events that you are learning about and then, at the end, I would like you to choose one event in particular to research further and then plan a double page spread. You will then complete your double page spread the first week after half term.

Zoom session @ 2.45pm - in this session we will focus on Safer Internet Day.

PSHE @ 1.15pm - live session on Zoom

Today we are going to spend some time thinking about our wellbeing and how we can focus on the present and not worry about what might or might not happen in the future. Obviously, it is sometimes important to think about things that might happen but we should not let these thoughts dominate our mindset. If you can't join in the session, I think it would be really useful for you to still work through the presentation and pick up some useful tips.

This week's question is: 'How important is it to plant more trees?' Have a go at the attached tasks and if you would like to send me what you have done just attach it to an existing assignment.
