Home Learning WC 12th April 2021

12 Apr 2021

*Please note that this work is ony for children who are having to self-isolate at home and are well enough to work, or do not have symptoms of Covid-19/Coronavirus - this is not learning for children who are in school.*

The activities below should fit in with what we are covering in school so that when you return you are able to continue with the learning in school.

Maths - Review previous learning

This week we are going to be focussing on a review of prior learning so that I can clearly identify any maths gaps and plan them into the next term so that the children are fully prepared to move on into Year 7. Below you will see a variety of tasks for the children to work through each day.

LO: To review multiplication and division knowledge.

Powerpoint

LO: To review fractions knowledge.

English

This week, if you are off school for a day or two, you can have a go at the Pobble activities below. I am looking forward to seeing what creative language you can use.

Wider Curriculum:

This week the focus will be around Picture News. The focus is around the death of Prince Philip last week and learning more about who he was. Watch the video below and look at the poster and read the information and then have a go at answering the following questions.

1) What do you think is his greatest achievement?
2) What do you think will he be remembered for the most?
3) What do you think the Queen meant by the words in the quote and what do you think it tells us about Prince Philip’s character?
