MRS BASSITT'S POETRY & ACT OF KINDNESS CHALLENGE

03 May 2020

My challenge for the next two weeks involves two different aspects, both linked to being positive.

The first is to write an acrostic poem about 'coronavirus' that has a positive focus. The second part of the challenge is to have a photo taken of you doing an 'act of kindness' for someone and tell me what you are doing.

Older children I expect full sentence poems, younger children can do single word lines for each letter.

Here is my poem!!!

Caring for each other like we've never done before,
Our lives have had to change like during the Great war.
Rainbows of hope in windows and stuck upon the door,
Ordinary people being thanked more and more.
NHS and key workers cheered and clapped each Thursday,
All of us supporting and offering help in our own small way.
Very important indeed that we stay home each day,
It's hard to keep going, to do what the Government say.
Ready for a bright future and happiness again,
Ultimately there's always sunshine after the rain.
Smile and be positive, we know we must remain!

I am sure that yours will be much better than mine.

Please email your work to the admin email address by Sunday 17th May.
