Sunday 27th February Update
Further to the SchoolPing information sent out to all parents on Wednesday(see link below) - reminder that we are closed to all Key Stage 2 (Pegasus, Centaurs, Griffins and Phoenix) children on Monday 28th Feb and Tuesday 1st March. You should have heard from teachers with remote learning and Zoom links.

Unicorns, Dragons and Giants entry is through the usual doors -any children in Breakfast club to come through the main door where they will be accompanied to breakfast in the hall. There is no mini choir.

Considerable work has continued in school, including the weekend, to try to ensure that we can be operational on Wednesday - we are hopeful that this will be the case and will give an update tomorrow (Monday) afternoon. Much is dependent upon the work to replace the floorboards in Pegasus and make toilet areas safe for use. The whole of the new build will be out of bounds.

We hope to be in a position to give further information and timescales in the parent meeting on Tuesday at 5.30pm in the church. Please can only one parent attend to allow for space - no children please if possible. A bullet pointed list of the main details will be posted after the meeting.

COVID Updates

04 Feb 2022
UPDATED - From 28th February
In line with Government changes, masks no longer need to be worn on the school site. However, it is recommended that we all continue to protect each other so some people may choose to do so.

Government guidelines regarding isolation say:
‘There is no longer a legal requirement for people with coronavirus (COVID-19) infection to self-isolate, however if people have any of the main symptoms of COVID-19 or a positive test result, the public health advice is to stay at home and avoid contact with other people.

Many people will no longer be infectious to others after 5 days. You may choose to take an LFD test from 5 days after your symptoms started (or the day your test was taken if you did not have symptoms) followed by another LFD test the next day. If both these test results are negative, and you do not have a high temperature, the risk that you are still infectious is much lower and you can safely return to your normal routine.’

As a school, we are asking that you follow the public health guidance and continue to keep children off school for the suggested 5 day period.

Schools will continue to operate with contingency measures in case of a significant outbreak of COVID19.  Please support us to try to ensure that this does not happen.

Please read our updated information.

JANUARY 2022
Further to the Covid arrangments below and the email sent before the new term resumed, the Govt has changed the guidance again:
From 11 January in England, people who receive positive lateral flow device (LFD) test results for coronavirus (COVID-19) will be required to self-isolate immediately but won’t be required to take a confirmatory PCR test. Isolation will be in line with school policy, from the date of the positive lateral flow test.
Lateral flow tests are taken by people who do not have COVID-19 symptoms. Anyone who develops 1 of the 3 main COVID-19 symptoms should stay at home and self-isolate and take a PCR test. They must self-isolate if they get a positive test result, even if they have had a recent negative lateral flow test – these rules have not changed. Isolation will be in line with policy, from the date of the symptoms.
