Welcome to Killinghall Church of England Primary

Welcome to Killinghall Church of England Primary, a nurturing place where we embrace the spirit of community and learning, rooted in the vision of 'we strive, we share,  we shine'. As a Church of England primary school, our foundation is deeply grounded in faith, compassion, and academic excellence, instilling in our pupils the belief that effort is the key to unlocking their true potential. We believe in nurturing not only the minds but also the hearts of our young learners, fostering an environment where they can grow, learn, and truly shine. Our vision is inspired by the guiding words found in the Bible verse:

Jesus said 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’

John 8:12

We celebrate Jesus as the Light of the World—a beacon that illuminates the path of discovery for our children, cultivating not only knowledgeable minds but resilient spirits. At Killinghall CE Primary, we celebrate the growth mindset, recognising that intelligence and abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work. Our committed staff, supportive community and our school vision converge to create an educational journey where each child is encouraged to strive for their personal best, share their unique gifts with others, and ultimately shine brightly in the world.

We are proud of our school and we hope you can see why.

Mrs Besharati
Headteacher

    Bike & Walk to school
Next week is the national Bike to School week. Whilst we want to encourage our children to be more environmentally friendly; please consider the safest way for your child to take part next week. Biking, scootering or walking instead of using the car will all be noted by our eco committee. We aim to reduce the number of cars and increase foot use! There is some plastic matting next to the mobile classroom where children can store their bikes/scooters. We are mindful that some of you travel to our school on the busy main road or travel further afield, so please only do what you feel is the safest option for your child. Walking to school and blinging up the footwear is still very much seen as taking part!
